We are a well established business giving a specialised service in the region since 1993. Supplying to private customers, charities, the Health Service and nursing homes.
Our experienced staff provide professional customer service in a kind and friendly manner. Our large showroom has some of the best products on the market, including new and reconditioned scooters, power-chairs, manual wheelchairs and rise recline armchairs. You can visit our showroom to try out any of the products in the beautiful surroundings here at Pinkney. We will give guidance as to the best product for you and then make sure you are happy and competent in using it. If you can't get to us, we can come to your home to carry out an assessment and demonstrate the best product to meet your needs. When supplying a power-chair or mobility scooter, we will always do a home demonstration to ensure that what you choose is useable in your home environment.
Our showroom is located at Pinkney Park in lovely country surroundings. We have a fully equipped workshop where we carry out servicing and repair work. We also pride ourselves in being one of the few suppliers in our field to carry out modifications and adaptations to make the product you buy as perfect for you as it can be.
We take the time to give the most thorough assessments, free of charge, to help you choose the right equipment. We do this without pressure, and with no obligation to buy. Once you have bought a product from us, we will provide maintenance and after-sales service for as long as you want us to.
Meet the Team
Graham Instrell and
Andy Taylor
Graham Instrell is the founder owner of Optimum, and although semi retired, still has a consultancy roll for those existing customers who simply cannot be without his extensive knowledge and his very dry sense of humour.
Finally that’s me in the picture, I took over at Optimum in 2014.Coming mainly from an engineering background my interest is to get Optimum to strive forward in what we are already very good at, and that is complex seating assessment and adaptions, that some of our customers require.
I hope this brief introduction to Optimum Mobility will give you the confidence that whatever mobility solution you or a family member needs Optimum will excel and make life just that bit better for all concerned.
Dave, Stewart and Andy
Dave, Andy and Stewart have over 50 years mobility experience between them. They work here at Pinkney Park in our engineers’ workshop. From routine servicing to complex power chair adaptions, they can turn the hand to most things. Dave and Andy are both ex RAF engineers, so if you ask them nicely they may even be able to get you airborne.
Hazel
Has been our office administrator for over 12 years and is the first person you will speak to when you call us. She can answer most queries ranging from household products right through to scooter or power chair questions, just don’t get to technical, or she may just have to hand you over to one of our 3 engineers.
